System Requirements

ProGo's sophisticated export mechanics is able to combine a .dot document with any given raw template file and apply it as a cover page to the raw template, thereby ensuring that each exported template looks consistent with every other template exported.

In addition to this, the export process also stamps every Microsoft Office document with a consistent set of document properties, allow you to ensure that each document contains a consistent set of meta-data properties which can be leveraged by 3rd party content management systems.

What is a Blueprint?

A Project Blueprint allows you to plan your project's deliverables by allocating them to stages and assigning people to fulfill specific responsibilities for that document. For example, the diagram above shows a snippet of a Project Blueprint and shows that for the Business Object Model document, the Architect is the Approver (indicated by the green tick) in the Project Definition Stage (column).

So this representation allows you to succinctly communicate who is involved with which deliverable, when that involvement is required, and under what capacity the involvement will take shape (ie. author, reviewer, approver etc.) Each Blueprint allows you to drop any template into any stage.

Now you can mix and match templates that come from ProGo or any other 3rd party or even your own library of templates. This non-prescriptive representation puts you in the driver's seat and lets you communicate it efficiently.

Export Blueprints As A GANTT Chart

Every Project Blueprint can be exported by ProGo as a Microsoft Project GANTT chart. This makes it easy to get your GANTT chart started with the minimum of fuss, saving you time in getting your GANTT chart started and completed. No more 'copy-paste' or mundane retyping to in starting a new GANTT chart document.

Publish Your Project Blueprints

The time you spend in designing a Project Blueprint is easily prepaid as you export the complete Project Blueprint as a static, Web 2.0 web-application. Publishing a Blueprint will export all templates, complete with styles applied AND all the associated meta-content, all presented in a neat, attractive and easy to use web-application. You can copy the files to a shared folder, Wiki or on a web-server so others can read, download and use the templates in following the process you have defined.
